The Signs That A Scorpio Man Is Interested

Studies on the texts of Clement Pansaers are not legion. In his study Theater Dada and Surrealist Henri Behar devoted four pages to Saltimbanques Clement Pansaers quickly and stressed the cousins next door Jarry

"The only known piece of Pansaers part, by the subtitle, by the practice of Pataphysics in line Jarry, but what sense of destruction and more! Pansaers no secret of his debt: "The Ubu, The Surmâle Dr. Faustroll (...) summarize with extraordinary power all our lives yesterday, today and tomorrow. [C. Pansaers, "Life in Paris", in ira! , No. 17, March 1922.] (1) love me long

This text is lacking, I went to copy a few months ago in the very studious library room Kandinsky. But here is a Belgian publisher, Roads & Ruins (Brussels), just published (late 2009 it seems) The acrobats "with a presentation and a few sleepers aggiornemento Party imaginary." The latter, long after H. Behar, argue that:

"The text that we publish more found here has all the formal characteristics of play. Yet this is not a room. For skeptics, an extravagant stage directions placed near the end, or warning, slipped into a fake reply: "No one who is perceptive immediately think of the scene." "

Both texts accompanying this reissue of Acrobats of Pansaers ("Faced with the impossibility of a single thought "And" This is not a part, but a process of exorcism ") have respectively 32 and 14 pages detour which" sleepers "- very perceptive when it comes to show that the texts Pansaers suffer today, the stamp "dada" if it is reductive in the case of the author of Saltimbanques who could have done without this historical determinism - show a less relevant and virulence the most useless against Marc Dachy (namely without quote for that matter):

" In the only edition of this book, the incompetent in charge of establishing the text (2) does not see fit to keep this sign also appears in the header of his correspondence, or in the woodcut which opens The Pan-Pan in the Nude Ass Negro . Which is to be noted that there are no satisfactory edition of the book entitled I gonorrhea. "[Footnote 16, page 42].

and, further,

"But the only reissue of high point Program for Youth orang-utan , civilized the idiot responsible for establishing the text (2) has seen fit to correct the spelling of his barbaric Dada "orangutan." "[Footnote 17, page 43].

These two observations are particularly regrettable because Dachy Marc is the person in France has allowed many to discover Clement Pansaers, including establishing publishing Bar Nicanor and other texts from Dada Lebovici Gerard (1986).

also subject to verification of sources, change "orang-utan" to "orangutan" no adverse effect on the approach or understanding of the text in question. French in Pansaers was sometimes hesitant, sometimes wrong, even, to examine closely, for example, his "Novénaire of waiting" and it is not unusual in this case, restore the spelling shown.

As for the "sign"

C. Pansaers, woodcut illustrating The Pan-Pan in the Nude Ass Negro (1920) - Retail
C. Pansaers, heading a letter to Tristan Tzara (12/18/1920)

evoked by the "sleepers", the musical notation of recovery da capo , allegedly failed to see Marc Dachy in his edition, although we will describe more precisely. In my case, I read only the monogram "CP" or "PC" used Pansaers simply ... sign - not "DC" for da capo, which I think is a particularly surlecture more culpable she is dubbed an "incompetent in charge of establishing the text."

Finally, just a little note in passing the "sleepers", here a little sleepy: there is no "Pistons air "Duchamp (their comment on page 15), but" Pistons draft "(yes, it changes everything!). As for "the actress Isadora Duncan" (their comment on page 23), it seems useful to clarify that it was rather ... dancer. It is true that a small error is soon here.

Currently, there are still some pieces of Pansaers to republish. Those published under the pseudonym of Julius Krekel in 1910 does not seem to have aroused the curiosity of a translator. "Harlequinade," "Brief incursion in the blockhouse of the artist," "Meditations Lent "and the beautiful" Novénaire the Standby remain virtually unknown and very difficult to access for those who have heard of. To fill this lacuna editorial (which affects only a handful of readers, but who knows ...) I there is little sent "Novénaire the wait" a few people around me.

To approach Pansaers Clement, reference is useful, as they say serious studies to the article by Georges-Henri Dumont ( Resurrection (1917-18), Walloon magazine of avant-garde in the first German occupation) and, of course, the article by Marc Dachy "Resurrection of Clement Pansaers" (3).

The next post will probably be devoted to reprint the Picabia by Marie de la Hire, now available through Kessinger Publishing .

I will also take the time to upload The Acrobats of Pansaers and speak, when I have read the next book of Mark Dachy (which I've never met but which was immediately answered by mail when I asked him a question about Pansaers few years ago), entitled Expose Dada (Transédition).

Losing theories (Enrique Vila-Matas)

it is what I needed in order to immerse myself in texts where it would no longer issue of Dada, Picabia and references of articles that literally kept me in the long access to all literature. Following Journal voluble and Pasavento Doctor, I just close Dublinesca .

After three volumes chained one after the other, the impression of having read the same text me that Vila-Matas is an authentic Author ( Sore Montano remains probably his best text), as Peter Senge, whose recently published

Studies silhouettes , slim volume when compared to its Lichtenberg, but certainly of great interest.

In The man who killed Roland Barthes ,

Thomas Clerc (he has Maurice Sachs and idle publishing courses Barthes devoted to Neutral), there is a long portrait of Edward Rose, author of Suicide recently appeared in Folio.

Just when I thought back regularly

to Defeat Pierre Minet Editions Allia that do appear again (their first published in 1994). A minor disappointment, however: if the record of this volume calls "an expanded edition of testimony of Jean Paulhan, Leon-Pierre Quint and Antonin Artaud," the discerning reader will find them unfortunately.

"(...) this time is wrong when all covered with rhinestones and nylon, shit and coke, cancer and AIDS, glasnost and aerobics, "reads

in Tarzan Boy , subtitled A song-drama and constituting, with Ma Electricity and Miss , all entitled Modane Fabrice Melquiot where the evocation of the 80s, which certainly is not the whole point, is very fair and very touching, especially the two lists of names and surnames classmates.

Being a translation from German, I conclude that the source language must be very beautiful - and the translation quality:

Ladies & Gentlemen

Under the Sea Christoph Ransmayr certainly reveals a author.

Finally, it is going to join the show Jacques Floret Chic design (60, rue de Richelieu, 75001 - until 29 March), at his invitation and because there presents the drawings of his latest book
